The Challenge

Centenary Heights SHS required substantial upgrades to their Arts and specialist spaces, including constructing a state-of-the-art Performing Arts Centre, upgrading to Hospitality Kitchens, and refurbishing the Visual Arts Block. The challenge arose from executing these projects across four different locations on the school site.

Complications included the proximity of neighbouring buildings, the need to complete refurbishment within tight holiday periods due to a lack of alternative teaching spaces, and specialised AV and acoustic requirements, adding complexity to the project delivery.

The Solution

We effectively tackled the challenges at Centenary Heights SHS through a phased approach to upgrade Arts and specialist spaces. Our detailed project management strategy optimised space usage and minimised disruptions across three locations, prioritising student safety.

Specialised Consultants integrated complex audio-visual systems into the Performing Arts Centre, and Acoustic Engineers ensured performance spaces met best practice standards. Regular communication with the school administration addressed concerns, resulting in a flexible Performing Arts Centre, state-of-the-art commercial hospitality kitchens, and refreshed Art Studios.

This successful solution transformed Centenary Heights SHS into a modern and dynamic learning environment, promoting creativity and excellence in the arts while respecting operational constraints.
